Description of business:
Zapf Creation is brand-name supplier of play dolls as well as functional dolls and accessories with a special emphasis on quality, design, safety and play value. The primary target group represents girls between the ages of three and eight years old. The Company's activities include exclusively the development and sales of play and functional dolls having broad international recognition together with a wide range of accessories, as well as an increasing number of products in other toy categories. Production is performed by certified Asian suppliers selected by Zapf Creation, with whom a long-standing and ongoing cooperation already exists, in order to ensure uniformly high quality and safety standards on a group-wide basis. Zapf Creation's logistics are carried out by service providers located regionally.
The core brands of the Zapf Creation Group include BABY born®, BABY Annabell® und CHOU CHOU. The branded toy concepts are distributed in over 65 countries worldwide. In this connection, Zapf Creation's operating business units are responsible for local distribution and marketing in the most important markets.
The Group consists of the parent company, Zapf Creation AG, located in Rödental (Bavaria) and subsidiaries located in Germany and abroad. Zapf Creation AG directly or indirectly holds 100% of the investments in all subsidiaries.
