ToyAward 2009 for Zapf Creation: Little Sunshine wins the award!
Little Sunshine is not only a real bundle of joy and very pretty, she even emulates a real toddler with her numerous interactive functions. This also won over the expert jury that awards the ToyAward in eight categories each year on the occasion of the Nuremberg International Toy Fair. This year, Little Sunshine by Zapf Creation was nominated in the category ''Emotion & Experience'' for this coveted award and prevailed against its two competitors at the opening ceremony for the 60th Anniversary Toy Fair. The interactive functional doll was awarded with the ''Toy Oscar'' for her especially realistic features: When Little Sunshine is thirsty, she demands her drinking cup. She also loves to have her blonde hair combed with the ladybird brush and immediately comments this with the words ''I'm a pretty girl now.'' Lovingly she greets her little fairy with a kiss. Once Little Sunshine is tired from playing, she wants to go to bed and peacefully falls asleep. Little Sunshine speaks a total of 35 words, complete sentences and makes childlike sounds. But not only do her interactive functions stimulate the imagination and delight in play. With her soft body and the cheerful outfit, she becomes a girl's best cuddly friend.
Apart from the extensive accessories, the electronic diary with an interactive display is a special highlight. This diary which looks like a remote control activates Little Sunshine's diverse functions that are reminiscent of activities and hobbies in daily life. It has an alarm function which ensures that Little Sunshine sings a beautiful awakening song every morning at the desired time. Furthermore, the diary is equipped with seven further activity buttons with which 17 different sentences and music can be activated. From drawing to singing songs it has a large repertoire and offers welcome change. When Little Sunshine has nibbled too much cake, for example, she gets a tummy ache. As soon as the girl strokes her tummy, the little patient feels better in an instant. Little girls will take this new functional doll into their hearts in no time and will have a lot of fun with her.
